Eclectic Northwest

The existing kitchen had no relation to the rest of the house. A large closet blocked the view to the family room and a narrow opening from the kitchen to the dining room prevented any direct relationship. Eliminating the closet and adding three large windows opened the room to create a spacious island, joining the kitchen with the family room. Gained access to the view from the dining room and brought the rooms together, removing the pocket door and increasing the doorway width.
